With a Master's degree in Education Technology from CSUF, Jonathan loves all things STEM. His hobbies include playing a multitude of musical instruments, composing and producing music, being Technical Director for the school drama programs, working with circuitry for his numerous home projects, coding video games or practical applications and devices, working on and repairing vehicles, 3D modeling and design, creating digital art and media, and above all, being a dad. This current year of 2026, Jonathan has also volunteered to be Science Club coach for students in the Science Olympiad.
Jonathan has been voted Teacher of the Year by Brightwood PTA in 2024 for his contributions to the drama program of the school and has had many mentions of going beyond the call of duty by his peers and co-workers. He loves seeing children learn and grow in ways that challenge them to reach higher goals and become better people.
Prior to his position with Alhambra Unified School District, Jonathan was a music director for a local church where he helped to develop musicians and leaders of the church community. His experience in understanding emotions, experiences, and spiritual development is also apparent in his desire to see children grow in emotional intelligence. Jonathan strives to maintain an environment where each child is seen, heard, and is able to practice and explore with educational materials as well as grow in their social emotional learning.
